May 11, 2009 - We started our trip and we have already realized we forgot our GPS. Billy too the rescue! He is over-knighting it to Vegas for us. We also for got our walking sticks and our hiking shoe. Way to go! We wanted to stay at the Roadrunner RV Park but they are full. We will be staying at the Centner home RV Park. We got to Vegas around 4:00pm. Here we are parked!

It is a tight squeeze, but Bill can park on a dime. to eat and did a little shopping. We got to see Dancing with the Stats and Idol.

May 12, 2009 - We had full day! We were on the golf course by 5:50. The temperature was excellent at that time of day. We golfed with Alan from Washington State. He was nice and both really enjoyed the game. Bill 81 Ro 97. The temperature was get up there when we finished. We returned to Centner's just when the GPS blew, so no AC in the RV. We spent the rest of the day in Keith's house. It was over 100 out side. Around 4:00pm Shawn, Cedar and Kayl joined us. It was great seeing the kids. They are really something. We enjoyed them a lot. They are really growing up and they are fun. We all went to the Longhorn Casino for a $4.99 stake dinner, our treat. It was fun and the food was great. We all cleaned our plates. Keith went to do some errands, Shawn took the kids home and we got to see more TV. Our son Billy sent the GPS and it got to Keith's at exactly 10:30 as promised. We were glad to see Vicky and she got there in perfect working order.

May 13, 2009 - We left Centner's around 8:15 and we are headed for Utah. We will travel about 150 miles today. We arrived and got set up early enough to go to Zion National Park. The ride to Zion from the RV Park was about 30 miles. What a ride! Every time we blinked our eyes the colors and the scenery changed. We were both taken a back by the beauty and awesome splendor. We both said Oh My God, you are an Awesome God! What amazing creations! We were only planning on taking the shuttle bus around the park and having a look at what we were going to see the next day. It did not work out that way. We got off and took two short hikes. First we went to Weeping Rock Trail and then Court of the Patriarchs. We were glad we did. After a couple of hours we were tired and headed for Springdale. This the city right near Zion. We had a quick look around, got a magnet and some soft ice-cream and headed back. The views going the opposite direction were just as amazing. We took a lot of picture see below:

When we got done with our two hikes at Zion we decided to drive to Bryce Canyon National Park. We were told it was about 50 miles from Zion. That was so wrong. It was more like 100 miles from where we were staying. The trip was not as exciting as it was to Zion and we thought we would never get there. When we did arrive we were to tired to do any more hiking. W saw the 20 minute movie that told all about the way this awesome place was created. It is the only place in the World that looks like it does. We were introduced The Hoodoo. This is a formation of sandstone that stands alone, literally. See pictures below. We did a little investigating and decided we would return one day and do some hiking. We only observed the Hoodoo's from a distance. Our view was from the top looking down. IF you hike you get to look from the bottom up. All the next pictures are from Bryce Canyon National Park. We had to travel through a one mile long tunnel when leaving Zion. It's constructed took 10 years and was finished in 1930. At the time it was the longest tunnel in the US and cost a fortune It was made for much smaller vehicles that we have today and if a vehicle is over a certain size they close the bridge and let one through at a time. Not fun to have to wait

When we left and headed home for our over 100 mile drive it was getting late and we were starving. We had noticed there were only a few eating places on the way over to Bryce Canyon. On our way home we were hungry but we were not up for fast food. We looked and looked and listened to our inner beast growling as we passed only a few eateries. We remembered this little restaurant we passed on the way and started looking for it. We were so happy as we drove into the driveway as we drooled our way in. This is one of those place you want to remember. It has been in business of 10 years and it is family owned and operated. The sign read Adobe Café and there was a sign that said Mexican food. We were so ready to eat! The first think we noticed there was not a Mexican in sight. I even asked the owner "Where are the Mexicans?" She said there were none (NO Mexican cook???!!!) We were really happy with our huge Taco Grande Salad. The only thing was we had tooooo much and we ate the whole thing. It was a great experience. The owners were really nice and we had great service. It is located at 16 N Main St in Hatch Utah. It is a seasonal place, opens in May. They are opened 10:00am - 8:00pm. If you are in the area we recommend this little jewel.

A good Place to eat if you are in the area
